Who remembers Fort Mountain Frontier Lands? The amusement park was constructed by Mac McGann of McGann Construction Company about a third of the way up Fort Mountain above Chatsworth in the late 70s. It shut down after about a year and a half struggle.

From page 3-E of the Rome News-Tribune, November 23, 1975 issue. Fort Mountain Frontier Land is advertised for sale to the highest bidder in an auction scheduled for December 4. The property now belongs to Carl and Charlotte Rittenhouse, who share beautiful views of the Chatsworth/Dalton area as viewed from their home.
